Dr Zygmunt Klukowski: “Hygienic Conditions and Preventive Medicine in the Countryside of the Zamość Region in the First Half of the 19th century”
Abstract
The paper “Hygienic Conditions and Preventive Medicine in the Countryside of the Zamość Region in the First Half of the 19th century” by Dr Zygmunt Klukowski, stored in Stanisław Konopka Main Library of Medicine in Warsaw, was prepared and presented by the author during the 15th Congress of Polish Physicians and Naturalists (Lviv, 1937). The paper can be regarded as pioneering in many respects, as the issue of the history of medicine in the Zamoyski family entail in the 19th century was considered so important by the doctor that he took it as the subject of his scientific research. In addition, the paper discusses the history of the Zamoyski family entail and is an important source of information about the region.
