Tourist Infrastructure in Lubelskie Province Compared to Poland Tourist Infrastructure in 2003-2009

Abstract
Selected issues concerning tourism in Poland and Lublin Voivodship have been discussed in the article. Based on the statistical data from years 2003-2009, referring to the number of collective tourist accommodation establishments, the number of beds and the number of tourists accommodated, some changes, also regional, have been presented. In the text, there have been indicated unfavourable tendencies in the field of tourism taking place in recent years in Lublin Voivodship – the number of tourist facilities, and also the number of beds for tourists is decreasing. The phenomena are accompanied by a positive symptom, though – a rise in the number of tourists accommodated in collective tourist accommodation establishments. The information included in statistical tables points to a position and importance of voivodships in Polish tourism and individual poviats in Lublin Voivodship as well.
