Abstract
Recent law modifications in the field of renewable energy sources generates new opportunities in the production of energy from biomass (in the form of biogas also) and indicate the direction of energy produced in small sources. The article presents the estimated energy potential of the Opolskie Voivodship in the field of usage of energy from stable and predictable sources.
