Wołanie o świętość. O publicystyce bł. ks. Władysława Bukowińskiego

Abstrakt
Blessed father Władysław Bukowiński, beatified November 11th 2016 in Karaganda, held in 1936-1939 the function of vice editor-in-chief of a catholic weekly „Życie Katolickie. Pismo popularne tygodniowe” (Lutsk, 1936-1939), that was founded by bishop Adolf Piotr Szelążek. Bukowiński and father Zygmunt Chmielnicki created the ideological profile of a modern magazine that influenced opinions, as well as social and state involvement of the Catholics of Wolyn. Continuing the thought of professor father Konstanty Michalski, he considered vocation and challenges resulting from left-wing ideology from both East and West - communism and national socialism in particular – the Catholics of Eastern Borderlands face. In people’s abandoning the vocation of love as well as responsibility for others he saw the reasons for this ideology’s success. In his publications Bukowiński focused on the matters related with upbringing the youth. He argued that only love being its source is the way to open wide a young man’s soul to shape it and encourage it to self-develop while at the same time preserving its inner freedom. Such an attitude requires an educator’s sainthood. Bukowiński warned from offense and points out to the domains of personal, economic and social responsibility. The love of the Homecountry is linked to Catholicism and includes the command to love our enemies: Bolsheviks and adversaries in politics.
