Abstract

The article discusses Zionism’s gender politics surrounding the Jewish woman’s body and selfhood in the Jewish national rebirth process and the formation of a modern Jewish identity. It explores Jewish patriarchal structures and the discursive power and reach of Zionist ideology in interwar Poland.
