Pavel Polian

Abstract

Memories of Leib Langfus, a dayan from Maków Mazowiecki, is a valuable historical material. The published material reveals some episodes of Jewish extermination and eviction from Maków Mazowiecki to Auschwitz Birkenau. Leib Langfus died in Auschwitz and witnessed the terrible events of 1941 and 1942. His memories are the vivid example of Nazi crimes against Jewish people during the Second World War. This publication complements the material for the study of the Shoah in the Central and Eastern Europe.
