Personal common good of the state in the social teaching of the Church

Abstract

Common good of State in social teaching of the Church has been greatly settled in persons who create political community. It is good of every man since their conception till natural death. Consequently, common good from an individual gains its complete humanistic meaning. In state dimension, it expresses itself in creating conditions conducive to development and improvement of a person and including their need for transcendention. Essential here is being open to an integral vision of a human being, to complete truth, to the whole person. In relation to common good understood in such a way State authorities as well as social institutions are called for assuming an obliging attitude and for assisting in achieving goals of a person living in a community.

The idea of human common good as formulated by the Church embraces State in ethical and moral categories and thus creates foundation for positive cooperation of people and smaller communities within the limits of State.
