The article characterizes the concept of monitoring in the sensu lato, distinguishing it from the traditional definition of the monitoring process in the strict sense. The author of the article, a practitioner with twenty-five years of experience in project management describes practical ways of monitoring the following project areas:
– the correct conduct of promotional activities,
– the effectiveness and correctness of recruitment procedures for project participants,
– diligence and correctness of project management procedures,
– achieving project indicators,
– implementation of substantive tasks in accordance with the project schedule,
– compliance of the project implementation procedures with the requirements of the access criteria and bonus criteria (if applicable to a given project),
– conducting periodic reviews of risks related to the correctness of project implementation procedures,
– eligibility of expenses,
– financial progress and ensuring the financial liquidity of the project,
– consistency of accounting entries with the expenses incurred in the project costs,
– the correctness of conducting procedures for the selection of services and goods necessary for the implementation of the project.
For each of these areas, it presents a proposal of a practical tool for monitoring a given process.
