An Outline of the Effectiveness of the Catholic Church’s Public Relations

Abstract

The Church has the right to educate and evangelize using available means and opportunities in pursuit of the highest goal, which is the salvation of all people. The attachment of Poles to the Church is decreasing, its authority as an institution of public trust is weakening, therefore it is necessary to shape responsibility for its image. In order to properly prepare the PR of the Church, it is necessary not only to define the textbook goals and functions of public relations, but also to understand what it means to build the Kingdom of God on earth. Creating a positive image is one of the tasks of all people incorporated by baptism into the community, whose divine-human character distinguishes it from secular communities. However, a special role is played by leaders: people endowed with a special charism in this dimension, properly prepared and delegated for this purpose.
