Аннотация

The article presents problem of the doping in sport. It analyzes the factors of this phenomenon on the basis of specific events in the XX and XXI century. For many athletes win in competitive sports is the primary motivation therefore they resort to doping. The benefits of winning were used by political regime in cold war stage, it was dependent on the development of doping. Today elite athletes can earn big money by winning major sports tournaments, it’s the effect of commercialization and mediatization. How big a problem is doping in modern sport? This article tries to answer this question.
