“Non possumus!” Repressions against the Catholic Church and Primate Stefan Wyszyński in 1953 in the light of press reports of that period

Abstract

Two and a half years of preparation for the trial of the Bishop of Kielce, Czesław Kaczmarek, and the time immediately before it began on September 14, 1953, were preparations for the arrest of the Primate of Poland. Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński, as the Good Shepherd, took care of every human being. He cared for the Church, which is a family of God’s children united to Christ. This concern is in the attitude and activity of the Primate of Poland o the Church and every human being was permanent. Fight for its independence, and in the socialist system and protection against people whowanted to systematically destroy it and build it in accordance with the vision of their principals. In the notes kept by Archbishop Wyszyński, we find a reference to the events that took place from imprisonment and the ban on holding church functions, until his return to Warsaw. Here we also find the key to the destruction of the Church of Jesus Christ, used until today.
