Dziewiętnastowieczna próba odrodzenia religijnego w Królestwie Polskim

Roland Prejs

Abstrakt

This article discuses an aspect of a religious revival in the 19th century Kingdom of Poland. It demonstrates that two capuchin friars: Prokop Leszczyński and bl. Honorat Koźmiński led a coordinated action, the former as a religious writer, the latter as a founder of hidden religious congregations. Themes and publication dates of Leszczyński’s works corresponded to the emergence of particular hidden congregations and their respective missions. This leads to a conclusions that such actions were a part of a grander scheme aiming at the religious revival of Polish society in the second half of the 19th century.
