Biography and Circumstances of the Death of Father Ludwik Robowski, Parish Priest of Sadków

Abstract
The text organizes knowledge about the person, ministry and circumstances of Fr.’s death. Ludwik Robowski (1864-1930), propagator of Polish patriotism, long-time parish priest in Sadki and dean of Nakło. This priest was murdered as a result of a robbery on the night of January 30-31, 1930 in his rectory. Its perpetrators were soon tried by the District Court in Bydgoszcz. The text collects information from the priest’s personal file from the Archives of the Archdiocese of Gniezno, press publications reporting on his death, funeral and the trial of his killers, the archives of the parish in Sadki and other available sources.
