Lie in Public Area. Politician, Science, Art

Abstract

The aim of this study is to expose the notion of a lie concerning politics, sciences, literatures, arts, and many others domains of human lives at the same time. According to the author of this study lie is the most extensively used in the political sphere. At the beginning of this text, the author describes what a lie is, when it appeared for the first time as well as serving an example of “battle for truth” – The Holy Inquisition, established in 1215. The phenomenon of a lie is presented in the spheres of international politics, local politics with the examples of political cheating. Apart from this, the thread of a lie is presented in times of military conflicts. A short characteristic of a phenomenon of a lie in literature is presented on the example of a drama “Konrad Wallenrod” written by Adam Mickiewicz. Besides, the phenomenon of cheating is briefly described in chosen domains of arts – theater, cinematography and fine arts.
