Abstract
The study “Financing of Political Parties from Public Funds and Control of their Spending” refers to the issue of subsidization of political parties from the state budget. The author describes the principles of subsidization and methods to control the spending of these funds. The author reveals also the imperfections of the system due to the lack of appropriate legal instruments which enable full and effective oversight of expenditure of public funds received by political parties.
