The war in Ukraine has prompted analyses of the broader conditions for conducting open armed conflict. Many issues have emerged in the public sphere regarding warfare tactics, the means used to destroy targets, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and unmanned systems, and the size of the army Poland should maintain. There is also an ongoing public debate regarding medical support for combat troops. This debate is particularly challenging due to the generally negative public perception of the healthcare system. This article aims to examine the functioning of medical support for tactical operations within the Territorial Defense Forces (WOT). It also attempts to identify the directions of change necessary to ensure proper medical care for combat soldiers. The goal of the article is to analyze the adopted doctrinal solutions regarding medical support for tactical operations of light infantry subunits in the context of the requirements of the modern battlefield.
