Post-truth as the element of the Russia’s historical policy towards Poland – international context

Abstract

Historical policy is most often an element of the country’s foreign policy. Russia, referring to the heritage and the historical tradtion of the Tsar’s Russia and the USSR, for decades has been distorting Polish history. In the recent years it has accused Poland of, among others, co-operation with the Third Reich. The article presents characteristic displays of an anti-Polish historical propaganda in certain Russian media as well as in historical works, which is reflected in the current Kremlin policy.
