Konflikt zbrojny a miłosierdzie w środkach społecznego przekazu

Abstract

Armed conflict necessitates those involved to engage for the greater good. Therefore, the media, while portraying the cruelty of war, also showcase individuals full of dedication, saving the lives of others. In this struggle, not only soldiers are involved, but also state leaders and the Church, consistently emphasizing the necessity of defending human life and undertaking necessary dialogical actions to restore lost peace. Evidence of this is the actions of popes, including St. John Paul II, bishops, and laypeople who, in collaboration with the media, and through various peace and prayer initiatives, effectively influenced the cessation or prevention of war. The media, through their activities, also demonstrate the power of volunteerism and examples of individuals who were able to tap into the depths of the human heart in an effective fight against evil. They drew strength from prayer, demonstrating that it is hope in these difficult times.
