Niemcy wobec Polski i Rosji w 1920 roku

Abstrakt

The article deals with the problem of German political culture after the revolution of 1918 and the German foreign policy with regard to Poland and the bolshevik Russia in 1920. It is to be pointed out that during first years of the Weimar Republic ist political scene was very much desintegrated. The German political culture at that time was being torn apart by the lack of “inner legitimisation” of the new republic. A “new Kulturkampf ” was the mark of these years. Not with standing this fact, main political forces in Germany were unified in their anti-Polish stance. In this regard they considered the bolshevik Russia as an useful ally against “Polish imperialism”.
Although Berlin officially remained neutral during the Polish – Bolshevik war of 1920, the German diplomacy and high military circles were in favor of combing back to the pre-war (i.e. before 1918) German – Russian border.
