Constitutional basis of security in contemporary Spain

Abstract
The aim of this analysis is to show the Constitutional basis of security in Spain. The author tried to prove the thesis that the security issue, as a key part of Spanish Constitution, has become much more important for this country. The Constitution of Spain provides a wide set of competences in the security field for every state institution. The Constitution defines the specifics of the state security and gives the instruments to protect the destabilization of the state. The author would like to present the Constitutional regulations connected with security in Spain and to analyze the relations between the state institutions responsible for security policy.
