Abstract

Positive parenting styles and high-quality family relationships serve as protective factors that shield children and adolescents from the problematic use of modern technologies such as the Internet, social media, e-learning platforms, and artificial intelligence. While these technologies offer quick access to a wide range of knowledge, foster the development of creativity, and offer support for children with difficulties, they simultaneously pose risks related to access to inappropriate content, such as violent, sexual, or dangerous material. The unregulated use of modern technologies by children can result in disruptions to their social and emotional development and may also limit their contact with peers. Therefore, parental oversight and control over the use of modern technologies by children and adolescents are essential. The role of adults is to engage in dialogue and education through open communication with children and to enhance their own knowledge of these technologies.
