National security as a field of study (on the example of the State Higher School of Vocational Education in Zamość)

Abstract
The aim of this article is to show that the concept of national security, in its different dimensions and contexts, is one of the most important and the most dynamically developing fields of research, as a consequence of the growing interest connected with it, but also due to the challenges connected with the domestic policy as well as international relations. This article is an authorial attempt at looking at the problem from educational perspective with the eyes of a political scientist. The author concentrates on formal issues connected with the Polish Qualifications Framework, analyzing both formal and qualita- tive sides of the problem, including personal experience connected with preparing formal documents connected with creating this field of discipline in The State Higher School of Vocational Education in Zamosc.
