Abstract

Namibia is a republic located in the southern part of the African continent. Since independence in 1990, the country has been governed by one political party, despite ensuring freedom of action for other political parties. The South West Africa People’s Organization (SWAPO) dominates the party scene and has a decisive influence on the decision-making process. Despite the stability of the political system and democracy, the country has had to face many challenges in recent years. The elections in 2019 and 2024 revealed problems in organizing modern elections, especially in the context of the use of new technological solutions. The quality of democracy and the level of public trust in state structures will depend on the method of solutions.
