Recently, both national economies and the entities operating within them, as well as the global economy, have been facing problems that have not been seen for decades, and even appearing for the first time in the history of the world. These include phenomena that are currently crucial for shaping the economic situation in the global economy, such as: the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, rising prices of raw materials, especially energy, inflationary processes, economic disturbances in global supply chains. The turmoil in the financial markets and the deepening economic crisis are becoming more and more visible in social life, they also affect the prose of everyday life. These issues are discussed in the articles in the thematic part entitled Economics and management in the face of current economic problems. They are complemented by texts included in the Varia section, which deal with issues in the field of journalism and media studies, Catholic social teaching, and security. The last part contains reviews and review articles of the latest management items. The editors hope that the results of the investigations presented in this issue of the journal will become the subject of research in the development of the researchers’ scientific workshop, and will also contribute to the discussion on many issues undertaken by the authors.
