In today's reality, young people feel more and more morally and spiritually lost. Such a situation is undoubtedly favoured by the lack of universal values, that is pillars on which particular patterns and models of behaviour are based, as well as the current individualism and pluralism of principles, and subjectivism of values and norms. In the face of these threats, role models play a special role, as they can inspire people to "go against the flow" and to search for what is truly valuable. In this article I refer to the life testimony of Chiara "Luce" Badano - Blessed Teenager, the patroness of youth, a contemporary saint. The legacy she left behind - in the form of an example of a short but spiritually rich life - is constantly being discovered by today's teenagers and is an inspiration to make efforts to grow spiritually and morally, “to be" rather than "to have", and thus to confirm one's personal dignity, to be a person not only on the ontological plane, but to actually become one.
