Dilemmas of Value-Oriented Pedagogy in the Context of Edith Stein's Work

Abstract

The 21st century is a time of intense reflection on education. The old dilemmas are returning – how to teach, how to educate, who is an educator? In this study, the search is conducted in the context of axiological reflection. Therefore the author refers to the work of Edith Stein, who combined philosophy and pedagogy, religious faith and education. The theory of empathy developed by Edith Stein plays an important role here.
