Abstract

The text is devoted to the reconstruction of Professor Tadeusz Gałkowski's path related to autism spectrum disorder and his involvement in the development of knowledge and activities for autistic people in Poland, taking into account the pioneer contribution to the development of education for autistic people in Poland. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the achievements of Professor Tadeusz Gałkowski in the development of broadly understood education and therapy of people with autism spectrum disorder in Poland. The work uses a biographical approach to show the relationship between the Professor's biography and the development of education for autistic people and the processes taking place therein.
