This article presents the profile of Kazimierz Wiłkomirski, a distinguished musician, educator, and organizer of artistic life, whose work significantly influenced the development of Polish musical culture. The focus is on the analysis of his pedagogical ideas, which were reflected not only in his teaching but also in his daily family correspondence. Set against the historical backdrop of the tumultuous 20th century, the study highlights Wiłkomirski’s life and activities, blending traditional values with a modern approach to education and the arts. Wiłkomirski’s correspondence, a valuable source of knowledge about his personality and relationships with loved ones, serves as essential research material, revealing his reflections on education, the role of art in upbringing, and family values.
