Conversion as a Turning Point in the Life of Medieval People

Abstract

The article is a panoramic view of turning points in the biographies of medieval people. It presents examples of the phenomenon from the Early to the Late Middle Ages. It shows the significance and circumstances of the conversion of rulers, clergy, and townsmen. Autobiographies, chronicles, lives of saints, sermons, and texts of theatrical performances provide the source base.
