Lifes of Homeschoolers and Children who where Homeschooled – the Analysis of Published Biographies

Abstract

Homeschooling is still very controversial form of education. It demands much self-sacrifice from parents who want to their children learn in the best way. Why Polish parents choose home education such popular in usa? How their experience and outlook form their everyday life? Parents and children can feel like strange among compatriots because of unpopularity of phenomenon. Researchers study this strangeness more and more keenly. In our country too. In article I describe home education in the world and in Poland. It’s early days, philosophy, why parents decide to home teaching. I analised fragments of biography parents and children. Describing their educational orientation, their every day lifes and causes why their decide to homeschooling I try to show how thir life diff er from life of usual parent who send children to school. I delineate passion for music French and way to learning French musician, journalist Adre Stren, whose autobiography was published recently. I abstract narrative interview as research method which is especially useful in such type of research.
