Abstract

An attempt to reconstruct and characterize the course of breakthroughs in the existential experience of ex-convict in confrontation with the reality found, reveals her specific need to learn. In the article, I undertake to reflect on the meaning of the life breakthrougs in the prism of  learning trajectory in the biography of the studied with the reference to the description of the importance of the past time in the view of her present living situation. Trajectory context of woman’s existence in the post-penitentiary space, is a unique combination of educational episodes. In exemplifying the multidimensionality of confounding dilemmas, stigma in the subjective perspective, a biographical method was used to conduct empirical verifications and narrative extracts taken from an in-depth interview, conducted with a woman taking the risk of  existential learning. In the case of the research results, characterised here in fragments, a purposive sampling was carried out. The technique used in carrying out the empirical verifications presented, was a semi-structured, open-ended, in-depth interview with narrative elements. Justifying the need to know the trajectory of existential learning of the ex-convict, can become a premise for signalling their relevance to pedagogical practice.
