Blessed Father Antoni Rewera
A Role Model in Contemporary Catholic Education
Abstract
The article presents the profile of blessed priest Antoni Rewera, who can be considered a representative of Christian pedagogy. The life attitude and steadfastness of the blessed, his martyr’s death and being elevated to the altars with the title of Martyr
for truthfulness, draw attention to those values – in particular the role of truth – which in the process of upbringing are imperishable. The whole life of Bl. Fr. A. Rewera, after many years, is still a moving testimony of being a steadfast model of upbringing. One of the planes of educational influence, necessary to create in a young person a striving for correct recognition of the truth, is the formation of conscience, to which the Blessed One paid special attention.
