Cultural Indifference to Experienced by a Child? The Case of Nika Strzemińska
Abstract
Cultural products (films, theatrical performances, literary works, visual works) present a specific artistic value and are an important source of knowledge about social sensitivity. This article contains a comparative analysis of the content of Wajda’s film entitled ‘Powidoki’ based on Nika Strzemińska’s recollections and personal documentary. It reveals the problem of cultural indifference to a child’s traumatic experience in a situation where the parents are in severe conflict.
