Bukovinensis – German by Origin, a Student of an Armenian Boarding School, a Social Activist among Poles

Abstract

The text is devoted to the biography of priest Emil Welisch. He was born as a German in the multicultural Kingdom of Bukovina. He studied and worked among Germans, Romanians, Poles, Armenians, Ukrainians. Under the influence of political changes he had to leave Bukovina, but he carried it in his heart until the end of his life. An important place in his biography is occupied by pastoral and teaching activities
