Material traces of the pedagogical activity of prof. Jan Hoffman in the archives of the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw

Abstract

The Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw keeps in its collections an extraordinary archival collection of prof. Jan Hoffman (1906-1995) - an outstanding pianist and teacher, and professor at the Academy of Music in Krakow. Its creator was also an active participant in the bodies of various organizations, incl. Society of Fryderyk Chopin and music competitions (domestic and foreign), in which he was a juror. Among the archival materials, attention is drawn to those relating to the International Piano Competition Frederic Chopin. They are the most extensive part of the collection.
