Youth is a special time of human growth and development, characterized by its own unique developmental characteristics. Among the primary developmental tasks of adolescence is the development of socially acceptable behavior.
The aim of this article is to explore the attitudes of contemporary youth toward selected socially marginalized groups. The study included secondary school students (N=3,046) aged 15-18.
The attitudes of the surveyed youth were generally characterized by greater favorability toward people with disabilities and the poor, while the least favorable attitudes were toward people with different sexual orientations and members of religious communities. The preventive educational system of St. John Bosco provides a context that helps interpret the obtained results, formulate conclusions, and design recommendations for educational practice.
