Incorporating Everyday Aesthetics into Education through Self-Narration

Abstract

For several years, pedagogical literature has emphasized the need to revise the theory of aesthetic education, highlighting the necessity of adapting its principles to contemporary socio-cultural conditions. The traditional model of aesthetic education is losing its relevance today. Maintaining the relevance of aesthetic education requires expanding the scope of theoretical inquiry and recognizing the agency of participants in the educational process. In this context, post-Kantian aesthetics, particularly the current of everyday aesthetics, can serve as a significant source of inspiration. The aim of this article is to indicate the possibility of incorporating everyday aesthetics into education through self-narration. This approach enables reflection on a wide range of phenomena, analyzed both from a biographical perspective and within a broader socio-cultural dimension, fostering a sense of coherence and shared experiences.
